Meet the Team
Klaus
Co-Founder · Engineering
Klaus graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in computer engineering. He's built software for Fortune 500 companies like Lubrizol and for federal agencies including the FDIC, TVA, and DOT. Today he works as a software engineer at DraftKings. He's spent years taking complex technical projects from idea to delivery.
When you work with TechHound, you talk directly to the engineers building your project. There's no sales team, no account managers, no game of telephone. The person on the call is the person writing the code.
Klaus also brings on talented engineering students from the University of Pittsburgh to help with projects. Every student is personally vetted and supervised, keeping the team sharp while giving students real-world experience.
Sam
Co-Founder · Operations
Sam leads everything outside the code. Branding, marketing, creative direction, client communications, and day-to-day operations all run through her. She makes sure the business side of TechHound runs as smoothly as the technical side.
From shaping how TechHound presents itself to the world to making sure every client has a great experience from first call to final delivery, Sam keeps the operation tight and the quality high.
Our Story
Most businesses know they need better technology. The problem is how to get it. Hiring a full-time developer is expensive, and most agencies charge a fortune for cookie-cutter work. That leaves a lot of businesses trying to figure it out themselves, which takes time away from the stuff they're actually good at.
That's why we built TechHound. We wanted to be the tech partner we'd want if we were running any other kind of business. You need a website built and hosted? Done. A manual process that's eating hours every week? We'll automate it. Want to see if AI can give you an edge? We'll build something custom and train it on your data.
Our team has built software for Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies, but we don't operate like a big agency. You talk directly to the people doing the work. No project managers playing telephone, no corporate BS.
We also use AI and modern tools in our own workflow, which means we work faster and charge less than a traditional agency would for the same quality.
We're based in Pittsburgh and happy to meet in person if you're local, but we work with businesses everywhere.
